The Fellowship is for people aged 19–35 who reside in Canada and want to contribute to positive environmental or social change.

It may be particularly valuable if you are early in your career, navigating a career transition, or looking to grow your confidence and capacity as a leader. We welcome applicants from different industries, educational backgrounds, communities, and lived experiences.

You do not need to have “sustainability” in your job title or already consider yourself an expert.

Through the Fellowship, you will have opportunities to:

• strengthen your confidence and practical leadership skills;
• learn from experts and practitioners;
• explore sustainability through environmental, financial, community, and business perspectives;
• build relationships with peers from across Canada;
• learn from experiences and perspectives different from your own; and
• apply your learning through a collaborative impact project.

No. The Fellowship is designed to bring together people with different areas of expertise and experience.

Your interest in sustainability might come through your work, studies, volunteering, community involvement, or personal experiences. What matters most is your curiosity, commitment to creating change, and willingness to learn alongside others.

Absolutely. You do not need prior experience in finance, business, climate policy, or any of the Fellowship’s learning areas.

The program is designed to introduce and explore Environmental Prosperity and Resilience, Financial Wellbeing, and Cooperation in Business through accessible, interdisciplinary learning.

Fellows are not expected to arrive as experts.

Yes. The Fellowship is delivered virtually and brings together participants from across Canada.

Regular sessions take place bi-weekly on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. ET / 4:00 p.m. PT.

The program runs from October 2026 through February 2027, with impact project presentations on February 9, 2027.

Fellows are expected to attend the scheduled virtual sessions, which may last up to 2 hours each, and participate actively in discussions and activities

Beyond the sessions, fellows will work with their peers on a collaborative impact project. Most participants can expect to spend approximately 15-20 additional hours on project work throughout the Fellowship. Depending on the goals and scope of your project, your team’s time commitment may be higher or lower.

Because the Fellowship is highly participatory and cohort-based, regular attendance is essential to getting the most from the experience and contributing to a vibrant learning community.  That said, we understand scheduling conflicts can arise and permit Fellows to miss up to one workshop per content module with at least 24 hours’ notice.

If multiple sessions are missed, especially without prior communication, we may ask you to withdraw from the Fellowship to preserve the experience for the broader cohort.

Fellows will work collaboratively in small teams on an impact project that brings real-world application of the concepts explored throughout the Fellowship. The project is an opportunity to move from learning to action by developing a solution that creates meaningful impact in your community, whether that’s in your workplace, school, local region, or personal networks.

Teams will present their projects to a panel of industry and community leaders on February 9, 2027. This provides Fellows with a unique opportunity to showcase their work, receive feedback from experienced professionals, and build valuable connections.

In recognition of the potential impact of these initiatives, financial support may be available for select projects seeking to further develop or implement their ideas beyond the Fellowship.

We believe leadership development should be accessible regardless of financial circumstances, and cost should not prevent someone from participating. We offer a sliding scale contribution model with a suggested contribution of $200.

We invite employers, supervisors, academic institutions, mentors and other supporters to help make participation possible through a contribution toward the Fellowship. We have documentation that we can provide to anyone who may be open to sponsoring your participation.

The application includes:

• a series of short written questions;
• a one-minute video introduction; and
• your current résumé.

Applications open August 18, 2026 and close September 7, 2026 at 11.59 PM ET. 

Applicants will be notified of decisions by September 21, 2026.
