Megan Poss is Leading Change’s Executive Director where she is responsible for the operations, programs, fundraising, and strategic plan of the organization. Her involvement with Leading Change began as a delegate at the 2014 Leading Change Forum and later as a member of the 2018 Forum Organizing Committee.
Prior to joining Leading Change she was the Project Manager of McGill University’s Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM). In her role at MDIIM she led sustainability, social economy, and thought leadership files for the institute’s academic, research, and outreach initiatives. Megan also spent four years in the electricity sector working at the Centre for Energy Advancement through Technological Innovation (CEATI) International. There she coordinated collaborative global research projects with electrical utility engineers and facilitated program development in the areas of high-voltage transmission underground cables, infrastructure protection and security, and power system planning.
Megan is a proponent of emergent strategy and taking an opportunistic approach to personal and professional growth. Her experiences range from being the office manager at Montreal’s first co-working space and providing strategic guidance to sustainability start-ups to being a nationally carded athlete and public speaker as a member of Canada’s National Team for synchronized swimming.
Megan holds a BCom with a Major in Labour Relations from McGill University and a Masters in Environment and Business from the University of Waterloo’s School of Environment, Enterprise, and Development (SEED). In an attempt to simplify and deepen her pursuits outside of work, you can usually find her doing one of three things: 1) reading, 2) catching up with friends over social and environmental justice organizing, or 3) running horribly long distances.
Leading Change is part of a constellation of organizations that includes the GLOBE Series, The Delphi Group and the EXCEL Partnership. We have an amazing Shared Services team behind the scenes supporting our work.
Our shared vision is to achieve a sustainable, prosperous and socially just future in a generation – and to have fun while we’re doing it. Together, we provide services and platforms that empower business, government and youth to improve performance while accelerating the clean economy.
